Making Dreams Become a Reality

About Us

We are a family owned and operated custom home builder.
Double K Custom Homes LLC has been building custom homes for families in the Fayette County area for almost 10 years now. With over 20 years of home construction experience, Keith Kaufhold, a Flatonia native, moved back to his hometown and went out on his own to build his dream.

Erin Kaufhold, his wife of 21 years, joined him in the business in 2022, and helps him to create their client’s dream home. Together they form a pretty great team and want to take the stress totally out of the picture for their client and instead create a memorable and enjoyable experience for them.

Double K Custom Homes strives to make our clients feel comfortable with us, as well as respecting what they are wanting to create. We know that building can be stressful, but we take pride in simplifying the whole building process and getting you ready for your forever home.

Our Process

Initial Meeting

We meet with our clients in person, preferably on their build site and find out what style and type of home they are wanting. In addtion, we also like to view the topography of the land to determine the homes best location.

Plans and Bidding

Next step would be to finalize your house plans of choice; we do have a local architect we can utilize. We then send your plans to all our contractors, to bid them out and send us their quotes

Contract

Once financing is approved, we will move forward with a signed contract to begin the process of building your new home.

Accessible Options

We have access to an offsite design center with an interior designer for your deco needs. We can also help facilitate all aspects of the initial stages of building- such as power, road, site prep, water well and septic systems.

Where We Build

We build in Fayette, Gonzales & Lavaca Counties

We are preferred builders of Fayette Savings Bank and National Bank & Trust.
